Paddleboard racing is where your competitive side can come out! There is a vibrant race scene in the UK and it is growing. Race boards are not just for all out racing, they are also the board of choice for people looking for a sporty touring board, or paddling for fitness. These boards paddle fast and have endless glide. This makes paddling more fun.

Raceboard design has evolved over the years but shapes are now pretty refined. Generally 14ft long, with flat rocker lines, relatively narrow widths, and with bulbous, high volume noses. Sometimes flat decks, sometimes dugout. Some boards are specialists, designed for flat water, or open water races. Others are more all round performers. Eitherway there will be plenty of carbon involved.
